GIANT STEPS is a travelling sound system and community from the team behind Brilliant Corners. It started in 2017 to explore music through high-fidelity sound. The system is built from restored hi-fi and pro audio equipment, and the parties aim for the intimate feel of a home party.
Sunday sessions run from 4pm to 10.30pm, usually with a single DJ playing a vinyl-only set of six to seven hours that moves across genres, tempos and eras. Occasional late editions run into the night.
DJs are sometimes announced closer to the date, so follow GIANT STEPS on Instagram for line-ups. Tickets via RA.

The Cafe, 6pm to 9pm. Private view of a moving image exhibition featuring Iván Argote and four London based video artists.
‘Excuse Me’ is an exhibition that aspires to challenge perceptions of London as an unfriendly, isolating environment. ‘Excuse Me’ showcases the elements of community that can be found where we least expect it, particularly in brief moments of interaction between strangers.
In response to Iván Argote’s early playful video performances, Altruism and Birthday, artists Emre Ataman, Alex Ford, Daniel Greenfield-Campoverde and Aysha Leach position the urban and self as a map of relations and encounters. Through the duality of the subjective lens, time and setting are warped, lag, and open up.
A constellation of videos subvert social expectations, daily performance, and moments of revelation within familiar, mundane spaces. From library halls, underground clubs, to the intimate moment of a kiss, the exhibition invites the public to engage with these works and reflect on the city that so many call home.
Private view: Tuesday 24 November, 6pm to 9pm. Please RSVP via Eventbrite.

The Hall, 2.30pm to 7pm. Group singing with a live band, no performing and no prep.
