Ecstatic Dance UK - SUN•DAY
The Hall, 10am to 1pm. DJ to be announced.
DJ to be announced.
SUN•DAY is Ecstatic Dance UK's Sunday morning dance at the Eastway Baths: a big room, a high-quality sound system, and a social space to land in afterwards. Each session is a live DJ set of around two hours, framed by an opening and closing circle. It is free-form movement with no teacher. The music travels from ambient through electronica, world and organic beats, and back down to a sound bath.
Warm-up music starts at 10am. The opening circle starts at 10.30am and the dance runs from 11am, with a closing circle at 12.45pm. Doors to the dance space close at 10.55am, so please be in the room by 10.30am.
The dance floor is silent, barefoot, phone-free, and free of drugs and alcohol, and everyone stays dressed. Bring a large reusable water bottle and layers you can move in. Plant-based food is available afterwards. The sauna and cold plunge run by Community Sauna Baths are booked separately; bring a towel and swimwear.
Children are welcome, and under-12s go free (subject to availability). They must be supervised, and ear defenders are recommended. Tickets are £15.50 plus fees in advance or £25 on the door (card only). Pay-It-Forward, concession and BIPOC Community tickets are available.
